Ernesto Castillo is a native of San Francisco and was born in the Mission District on June 28, 1974. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Social Science in 1996. He then attended Golden Gate University School of Law where he was an associate editor of the law review. While attending law school, Mr. Castillo was an extern for a federal judge and also devoted much of his time to the San Francisco Public Defender's Office. Ernie graduated law school in 2002. Mr. Castillo is respected for his dedication to the Latino population and is fluent in Spanish. His sensitivity to the cultural challenges facing the Latino population in the criminal justice system makes him a highly sought after criminal defense attorney. He is strong in court while maintaining an unshakeable calmness in dealing with opponents and judges alike.
