Michael Porcella was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1972. His family moved to Oakland in 1978, where he grew up and went to Bishop O'Dowd High School, graduating in 1990. Michael graduated from St. Mary's College in Moraga in 1995 with a degree in Liberal Arts. He also attended Oxford University in England. Michael earned his law degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 2005, where he excelled in research, writing, criminal procedure, and was an associate editor for the Law Review. Before joining the Law Offices of Robert J. Beles, Michael was a law clerk with the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California.
