Paul McCarthy was born on October 27, 1949 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Philosophy in 1971. He then attended the University of Washington School of Law, graduating in 1974. He practiced law in Hawaii before coming to California in 1989. He joined the Law Offices of Robert J. Beles in 1989. He is admitted to practice in all California Courts, the United States District Courts of California, the United States 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
