Paul McCarthy was born on October 27, 1949 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Philosophy in 1971.  He then attended the University of Washington School of Law, graduating in 1974.

He practiced law in Hawaii before coming to California in 1989.  He joined the Law Offices of Robert J. Beles in 1989.  He is admitted to practice in all California Courts, the United States District Courts of California, the United States 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. McCarthy has specialized since 1989 in writing motions, writs, and appeals.  At the Law Offices of Robert J. Beles, he is known as the fastest writer in the west.  His high quality legal research and writing is often the difference between winning and losing.  Mr. McCarthy's phenomenal ability to quickly synthesize the facts and get it down on paper with proper authorities and citations, has gained the respect of the legal community.
